German as Stretching
Vanessa
German iz a poet, artist,
daughter, sistah, lover,
friend, student of the
day & wanderer. Ms.
German takes poetic stage
throughout the country,
having featured in los
angeles, chicago, alanta,
cincinnati, miluakee, & internationaly
az well in durban & grahmstown,
south africa. Vanessa
haz graced many a pittsburgh
stage with gemini theater,
city theatre, penn avenue
theater, kuntu repertory
theater & pittsburgh
playwrights theater,
to mention a few. she
could recently be seen
as one of pctv 21's 8
Make the Cut semi-finalists,
az Bernice in the Piano
Lesson in the PCT's August
in February & "She
Said".
Melissa
Martin as
Cheating
Melissa
Martin was a member
of the original Yo'
Mama! cast in the debut
production at The Three
Rivers Arts Festival.
Martin has written
and directed plays
produced in New York,
Chicago, Toronto and
at home in Pittsburgh.
Her plays include The
Shriveled Arm of Uma
Kimball, The Last Bridge,
and The Convalescence
of Marge among others.
Martin holds an MFA
in playwriting from
Carnegie Mellon's school
of drama, where she
also studied directing,
and a BFA in acting
from University of
Illinois. She is a
university professor
and has begun to direct
commercials. In 2000,
she wrote and directed
the multi award-winning
indie film sensation
The Bread, My Sweet,
currently in nationwide
DVD/video release under
the title A Wedding
for Bella. This film
was produced by fellow
Yo' Mama! cast member
Adrienne Wehr. Melissa & Adrienne
were recently honored
among the Top 50 Cultural
Forces in Pittsburgh
by the Pittsburgh Post
Gazette. Currently
they are in development
for their next feature
film Nights of the
Tutu Parties, along
with a documentary
and a TV pilot and
a series of shorts.

Tonia
Steed as Dreaming
Tonia
Steed recently moved
to Pittsburgh from Seattle,
where she worked as an
editor and content manager
at Microsoft, and moonlighted
as an arts and film
critic for the city's
alternative weekly,
The Stranger. She wore
a number of hats in
the theater as well,
having acted, directed,
produced and dramaturged.
Tonia now parents full-time
in Edgewood with her
husband and three-year-old
daughter, a budding
feminist who calls
herself "Princess
Diva."
Adrienne
Wehr as Changing
Adrienne
Wehr performs for
stage, film, television,
radio & and print.
She is the producer
of the multi award-winning
indie film sensation
The Bread, My Sweet,
currently in nationwide
DVD/video release under
the title A Wedding
for Bella. Her last
Pittsburgh stage appearance
was in UnSeam'd Shakespeare's
Women Beware Women.
Recent film performance
credits include Disney's
Inspector Gadget, Kevin
Smith's Dogma, & The
Bread, My Sweet. She
is a union leader within
the American Federation
of Television and Radio
Artists (AFTRA), and
works across numerous
fronts to fortify the
film and television
industry in Pittsburgh.
She was recently honored
for her achievements
in the arts as one
of 40 Under 40 by Pittsburgh
Magazine and along
with filmmaking partner,
Melissa Martin, as
among the Top 50 Cultural
Forces in Pittsburgh
by the Pittsburgh Post
Gazette. Currently,
Adrienne and Melissa
are in development
for their next feature,
along with a documentary,
a TV pilot, and a series

Janis
Burley Wilson as Blooming
Janis Burley
Wilson is returning
to the stage after
a long hiatus. She
is thrilled to have
the opportunity to
portray Blooming with
such a talented cast
of women. Janis works
as the Vice President
of Education and Community
Outreach for The Pittsburgh
Cultural Trust.
