Yo' Mama! is being presented in Pittsburgh with support from a seed award from the Sprout Fund. The Sprout Fund is a non-profit community organization that supports the innovative ideas of young people through modest grants for community projects. Launched in August 2001, Sprout is a project of The Tides Center (PA).

Through resources and leadership, Sprout supports and engages young adults in the process of thinking through critical issues and how to strategically implement innovative solutions that improve the perceptions young people have of the Pittsburgh region. By seeding many small projects, Sprout celebrates and showcases the initiatives of young adults with the collective power to shape a new culture and vision for the Pittsburgh region.

The Sprout Fund effects change by leveraging the activities and resources of other civic organizations and individuals working toward similar ends. Sprout leads the region in thinking strategically about initiatives that will make our communities more compelling places to live, work, and play.
